What is cloud?

The term cloud is used to refer a Network or Internet. In other words, the cloud is something that is present at a remote location. The cloud can provide services over the public or private networks i.e., WAN, LAN or VPN.


Application such as e-mail, web conferencing, Customer Relationship Management execute on cloud.

What is Cloud Computing?

The Cloud computing is used to describe the delivery of software, infrastructure or storage services over the internet. Cloud computing refers to configuring and accessing the hardware and software resources remotely online from anywhere and anytime without interruption.

The cloud users can get benefitted from the services offered by the Cloud providers. The users can get access to their servers and software without physically installing the Hardware and software at their end.

In Cloud Computing the services like computing power, computing infrastructure, applications and business process can be delivered to a client as a service wherever and whenever they need.

Cloud deployment is nothing but the enablement of cloud services like Saas (Software as a service), Paas( Platform as a service) ,Iaas (Infrastructure as a service) that are accessed on demand by end users or consumers.

Cloud computing is based on service models. These service models are categorized into three basic models:
